I think I’ve made it rather obvious how much I enjoy cosplaying Kaz Brekker – trust me, I’m still not over Leigh’s love for the cosplay and don’t think I ever will be. But have you ever wondered which other book characters I might want to cosplay one day? If you have, you’re in luck! Here’s a Top 5 list of the book characters I’d love to cosplay!
BAZ PITCH – CARRY ON/WAYWARD SON
When Carry On came out, I wanted to cosplay Baz but didn’t have him high on the list. That changed when Wayward Son came out and THAT suit was unveiled. Honestly, I have a love for floral print anything, but seeing that suit just made me want to wear it instantly and just embody everything about the snarky, lovestruck vampire!
LILA BARD – A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC
For ages, I thought I wanted to cosplay Kell, but after my reread of the first book in the Shades of Magic trilogy, I knew that Lila would be a much cooler character. Who needs a fancy coat when you can have a superb mask and be absolutely badass?
CARDAN GREENBRIAR – THE CRUEL PRINCE
Let’s face it – I only want to cosplay Cardan so I can lounge around with a drink in my hand. I also think he’d be rather fun to be – despite him being a brat, he does have a bit of a heart inside. Plus, it’d be really fun to cosplay him in the modern world rather than Elfhame!
MARKO – SAGA
Oh, Marko! My favourite character of the entire Saga series. I think I’d love to cosplay him just because he looks so cool – no other reason! It’d take some time to make those horns though so I guess that’s why I’ve never thought of it!
AUGUST FLYNN – THIS SAVAGE SONG
I read This Savage Song on my flight to Japan last year, and absolutely loved August. He seemed like such a lost soul with so many different factors in his life pulling him in different directions. I also really liked the idea of the tally marks on his skin (which I won’t say what are for incase you haven’t read it yet), so it’d be interesting to recreate that!
Are there any book characters that you’d really want to cosplay? Let me know!
